Re write of a song "Dirty Dog"

I want a dog, Ill keep it in the yard
Ill give him baths, how to fetch i will teach
Ill get his at the pound
get him at the pound
I need a leash
I want a basset hound
I want a basset hound

Got a red ball
Respond to my call
Cant take him in the shopping mall
I wanna name him spot
Walk him more often then not
Cant you see i really want a canine

I don't want a feline
Mom, dad, i will fight you on this
If i didn't ask for a dog i would be remiss
And if he pees on the carpet
Then his life will be forfeit
You say im not responsible yet but i say that you need to chill
Mom, dad, i don't think you get it but i have superior skill.

Black Cat (urban walking poem)

Oh black cat.
There you sat.
You were worth a buck,
your not known for luck.
Your as useful as a plane with no wings.

Paraphrase Mistress eyes

My girlfriends eyes are brown
Her lips are simple red.
Her skin is tan.
Her hair is like wire.
Even roses are white and red,
but her cheeks aren't roses.
I like the smell of perfume better
then the breath of my girlfriend.
Sure i like it when see talks,
but most things sound better.
Ive never seen a goddess,
because my girlfriend sure ain't one.
However i still love her.

Everyday Photo Poem

A boy named Clyde prepares to ride.
I hold my breath as he goes to slide.
It feels like he weighs a ton.
All day long up, then down.
All day long, they hit the ground with a thud.
Silly siblings steer down this slide.
I didn't always want this job.
Monkey bars, swings, jungle gym, anything.
But now my spine is curved, and my body plastic,
don't be fooled, its anything but fantastic.

favorite poem for the book

The History Teacher
Trying to prtect his students innocence
he told them the Ice Age was really just
the Chilly Age, a period of a million years
when everyone had to wear sweaters.

And the Stone Age became the Gravel Age,
named after the long driveways of the time.

The Spanish Inquisition was nothing more
than an outbreak of questions such as
"How fat is it from here to Madrid?"
"What do you call a matador's hat?"

The war of the Roses took place in a garden,
and the Enola Gay dropped one tiny atom
on Japan.

The children would leave his classroom
for the playground to torment the wak
and the smart
mussing up their hair and breaking their glasses.

while he gathered up his notes and walked home
past flower beds and white picket fences,
waondering if they would believe that soldiers
in the Boer War told long, rambling stories
designed to make the enemy nod off.

Twinkle Twinkle Remix

Twinkle, twinkle particle of light.
Now i see you in full flight.
Through the black I see you now.
Shining like a great big cow.
Twinkle, Twinkle, flickering light.
Now i have to say good night.

Favorite Holiday

The smell of burning wicks and wax
wafts into my nose as I in hail and
ponder what it is i desire the most.

hungry eyes look longingly at the mixture
of sugar, eggs, and oil.

Inibreated relatives tell me how much
I've grown, meanwhile neatly enveloped
decorative boxes awit my malice.

Riddle poem

I have skin
but no ears
I have eyes
but no mouth
what am I?
Answer

Two tone poem

Most days I'm white
Indifferent and content
always claim and calculating
being witty and being right
Other days I'm so gold, I shine
Gold like a bullet, Bang!
Jubilant and strong
powerful and bright
there both awesome and they describe
how awesomely awesome i am.
